I allowed myself to rest a wee bit after the afternoon walk in the gloomy weathers before catching the free shuttle bus from the hotel to the ferry terminal and transferring to another shuttle bus from there to take me to The Venetian! Hehe that’s a very budget friendly way the locals will do to move around in Macau and I did likewise… 😀
So here goes…
[Experience Macau May 2013]
17th May 2013 – Day 2
Carnival 3D Light Show @ The Venetian
I didn’t want to waste time waiting for the next bus heading to The Venetian since I missed it so I hopped on to the one that will take me to City of Dreams and walked over instead! And when I arrived, it’s such a magnificent view from the street!
There’s so much things happening everywhere but the sound of drum beats drew me towards the stage. And a group of performers, be-dom, was there performing and the crowd gathering around the stage was getting driven on by the performance. Everyone is smiling, laughing and some clapping along with the beats!
And I’m not too sure if the timing had been properly coordinated at regular intervals or what but as soon as the performers finished their show, the light show came on and drew the crowd’s attention to the building facade…
The 3D Light show in pictures!
In case you prefer proper visuals, here’s two short videos I took with my iPhone during the show!
And after the light show, performers clad in various costumes started mingling among the crowd. That surely liven up the atmosphere even further especially when there’s clowns were going around and tickling everyone with their silly moves!
Some of the snippets post-light show and I really loved the last photo the clown and me? He probably spotted me snapping and trying to capture all the happenings and moments with my camera too much that he came up and requested for a picture together instead? Definitely put a smile on my face when I supposed he’s trying to remind me to enjoy myself and capture the moments while I am at it! 🙂
While I was leaving to head back to Macau Peninsula to meet up the rest for a late dinner and supper, the 3D light show commenced again! Oh boy, the carnival and light show were simply so magical and so mesmerizing that I had to literally peel myself away…
There were probably about 10 ping pong ball sized meat balls in a ginormous portion for one. But I thought that the meat balls were a little too porky for my liking.
Perhaps I’m all tired and worn out after the whole day’s activities that I didn’t have much appetite so let’s give it some benefit of doubt yeah? Will definitely love to go back and give it a try it again together with all their other scrumptious looking choices when I visit Macau next time!
Since I had the milk pudding during lunch, I decided to go for something else and went for a hot bowl of Lotus seeds and Gingko nuts in Water Chestnut bits and base 莲子白果马蹄沙. And after one mouthful, I’m in love with this traditional Chinese dessert! It surely is a pick me up after the eventful day!
To think about it, it was indeed such an eventful day for me! From experiencing the Feast of Drunken Dragon, to exploring Senado Square, to an afternoon walk along the southern end of the Macau Peninsula, to a carnival and light show and finally wrapping up with supper! WOW!
Of course, the following day was even more remarkable! And who’s saying that Macau is but a boring gaming destination? Stay tuned to find out what else you can do in Macau!!! 😀
